Who Wants to Live Forever is the new ending to Cyberpunk 2077's campaign. Our walkthrough explains how to unlock the ending from Phantom Liberty and how to head to the clinic for V's treatment.

The Who Wants to Live Forever mission from Cyberpunk 2077 is essentially a new ending to the base game storyline added with the Phantom Liberty expansion. The walkthrough for it in our guide contains information how to unlock the new ending, how it proceeds, and what is the final point of no return.

How to unlock the new ending?

There is a new ending for the base game campaign, linked to the conclusion of the Phantom Liberty story. The requirement for unlocking it is delivering Songbird alive into the hands of NUSA:

1. If you allied with Songbird, one of the following quests was The Killing Moon. During that quest, you need to let Reed take Songbird.
2. If you allied with Reed, one of the following quests was Somewhat Damaged. During that quest, you need to keep Songbird alive after finding her in the core.

If you completed the above requirements, the described quest will be activated:

1. After completing Through Pain to Heaven - Songbird's story line;
2. After completing Four Score and Heaven - Reed's story line.

Waiting for Reed to contact V

1. You need to wait 1 full day - best to use the fast-forward time option. During your meeting with Reed, confirm your readiness to go to the clinic.

Reaching the roof of Misty's Esoterica - the final point of no return

1. You'll be sent to the roof of Misty's Esoterica and this is the location where you choose the other main endings to the base campaign - these are described in detail in Endings chapter of the guide.
2. Use the elevator to reach the roof. Sit in a chair and talk to Johnny. The game will display a warning about the point of no return (above screenshot). If you proceed with the described quest, you'll experience a completely new ending to the entire game.
3. The new ending is a series of linear scenes and you no longer will be able to explore Night City freely. We recommend creating a manual save so after watching the new ending, you'll be able to load it and continue playing the game (base game and Phantom Liberty expansion).

1. If you are ready to experience the ending, choose to call Reed. AV will come get you. During the flight you can talk to Agent Weiss, Dr. Lozano and Johnny - there are no more choices here.

Conversation with Reed

1. After waking up in the clinic, you will have several conversations with Reed. You will learn from him, first of all, about the current state of V's health.
2. After talking to Reed, you can call your friends and the mandatory conversation is the one with Viktor Vector. Use the intercom to ask the nurse to leave the clinic.

Meeting Viktor

1. As you drive toward Viktor's salon, you can optionally talk to Delamain AI to learn about changes in Night City.
2. Once at the destination, enter the clinic and tell the receptionist about the appointment. The conversation with Viktor does not include any choices - you can choose any dialogue options as he scans V.

Leaving the clinic

1. After leaving the clinic, proceed to the vehicle. You will be stopped by a group of thugs. Regardless of the dialogue option you choose (confrontation, persuasion, transfer of credits), you will be pushed down the stairs.
2. V will meet Misty and this is the last conversation of the DLC. After Misty says goodbye, the closing credits will start to roll. On the right, messages will be displayed from various people you have met in the game.
3. The game will return to the main menu and you cannot continue gameplay on this save - you need to load an older one from before the choice on the roof.
