What is Profit Factor?
Profit Factor is a mechanic in the game that represents your wealth, power and influence. High Profit Factor means your hero doesn't have to worry about money. To put it simply, if you have a high Profit Factor, this means that you have resources to buy virtually anything.
The initial amount of Profit Factor is 10. Profit Factor can be increased or decreased. You gain Profit Factor through signing important trade agreements while spending on colony projects lowers this value. To check current Profit Factor, view it in trade agreement window or on the main galaxy screen.
In addition to Profit Factor, to be able to buy more valuable items from various factions, you must have the required Reputation with them. With high Reputation, better items appear in traders' stock. You can learn more about Reputation on a separate page: How to increase reputation?
How to increase Profit Factor?
You can increase Profit Factor in a few ways:
- Completing story tasks.
- Developing colonies.
- Fulfilling orders.
- Scanning planets and providing the accrued data to factions.
