One of the main quests in The Thaumaturge is the What We Leave Behind quest. The guide describes every step of the quest, providing information on finding observations in the office at the Szulski Family Tenement House, interrogating the main character's sister, locating the ruins of the building, and searching the place where Stanislaw died.

Learning more about the father's dying moments

1. This is a continuation of the plot from the main quest The Mermaid City's Son. You start in your father's office in the Szulski Family Tenement House in Northern Srodmiescie.
2. Upyr should be levitating in the office - you have the option to start a conversation with him and unlock the side quest Memory Horizon.
3. You must investigate the entire office marked on the map with a red circle - often use your perception. Besides the collectibles, there are also observations - Letter from a mysterious woman (unlock the mission objective by talking to Ligia), Books on Ancient Cultures, Suitcase, Ritual Mask, and Collection of Books on the Occult (examine the upper shelves with books to which the stairs lead). You'll unlock observation Father's Search.

Asking Liga about the mysterious S.R.

1. Go to the ground floor of the tenement house. Pick up the phone from Rasputin to start another main quest Taming Darkness. The quest involves meeting Rasputin at the Powazki Cemetery.
2. Find Ligia on the ground floor and ask her about the mysterious figure S.R. from the letter you found earlier. You'll unlock the next main quest The Reptilian Bash - it is associated with appearing at the party in The Imperial Hotel.
3. You can speak with Grazyna (with a chance to get cocoa if you requested it in the previous main quest) and investigate the garden (where a group of thieves can be defeated).

Investigation of the place of Stanislaw's death

1. To continue this mission, use a carriage or tram to return to Southern Srodmiescie. Reach its south-eastern part - there are the ruins of the building shown in the pictures above. This is the place of Stanislaw's death.
2. Use perception to find further observations. These will be Glasses, Damaged Pillar, and Shoe. You unlock the observation Father's Death. Upyr should appear - talk to Salutor.
3. Wiktor will be stunned and captured by Abaurycy, and you will find yourselves in the basement of the London Bar. This will start another main quest Bastards of the Night.
