How to pick up the Chimera core?

1. The Active Chimera Core is a unique loot that you can acquire while completing the main storyline of the Phantom Liberty DLC.
2. The core is dropped by the Chimera , a mechanical boss that you must face in the main job called Spider and the Fly. We've described it in our walkthrough. Find the core on the ground after winning the battle and take it before continuing.

Practical use of the core

You can use the core for crafting. Go to the Crafting menu. The core enables you to create an Iconic level 5 modification. The available modifications are:

1. Firecracker - This is a modification for a Power weapon. They can now fire explosive projectiles.
2. Wallpuncher - This is a modification for a Tech weapons. You can charge them up to 200% of the limit.
3. Hackatomy - This is a modification of a Smart weapon. The chances of uploading a hack after hitting an opponent will increase.
4. Severance - This is a modification for a Blade weapon. The chances of dismembering enemies with less than 50% health will increase.

The core can be used once, so wait until you acquire some exceptionally good weapon from your favorite category.
