Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden

Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is an action RPG by Dontnod Entertainment studio, the authors of such games as Life is Strange, Remember Me and Vampyr.

Plot

The action takes place in North America in 1695. The main characters are Antea Duarte and Red mac Raith, a pair of ghost hunters who are also lovers. During one of the tasks Antea dies, but for some reason her soul does not depart into the afterlife. Taking advantage of her condition, the woman continues to support her partner, and in the process they both try to discover the reason why the hunter was trapped in the mortal world instead of going to the other side.

Mechanics

Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is a classic action RPG. We explore the world, complete quests and, above all, fight hordes of enemies using a heavily arcade-based skirmish system.

The player can freely switch between characters. The fact that Red is a living warrior and Antea is a phantom affects their abilities, both during skirmishes and outside them, adding variety to the fun. Each character also has a unique development tree, allowing you to unlock new abilities and upgrades.

The game's plot is quite non-linear and during gameplay it is necessary to make regular decisions that shape the further course of the story and affect the fate of the people and phenomena you encounter.

Game modes

The game offers only a single-player mode.

Technical aspects

Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden offers an attractive three-dimensional graphics. We observe events from a third-person perspective.
