Mission 43 - Eye in the Sky general information

Way to unlock: You need to complete Main mission 42 (I Fought the Law...). You can now go to the meeting place with Devin (letter D on the world map) - if you are playing as Franklin, it is the base in El Burro Heights and, if you are playing as Trevor, it is the police station in the Strawberry district.

Playable characters: Trevor, Franklin

Additional information: This mission is not too demanding. Its main highlight is the ability to use the camera mounted on the police chopper, first to locate the famous movie producer, and to track him during his escape on a very rare car. The final stage of the mission is the drive on the abovementioned vehicle, accompanied by a police pursuit.

Mission 43 - Eye in the Sky full walkthrough

If you start off as Franklin, the mission will start when Trevor is already airborne

I recommend against starting off this mission as Franklin (the El Burro Heights base), because you will miss, this way, visiting the police station.

The helicopter on the precinct's rooftop

If you have decided on Trevor, you can start this mission by going to the police precinct in the Strawberry district. Have a short conversation with the person staying in the first are of the building and take the door out to the staircase (Locked Rooms). Climb up the stairs to reach the rooftop and get into the helicopter (Police Maverick). What is interesting, you will not be piloting the helicopter itself, and only controlling the on-board camera.

Franklin

Spend some time learning the camera's controls. Panning the view and zooming in is done with both analog sticks. The appropriate buttons/triggers are responsible for eavesdropping on the conversations of the targeted individuals, as well as for scanning them. Start by targeting the first blue rectangle and, after the helicopter gets there, perform a scan of Franklin's.

New targets to scan

Target onto the new rectangles and, after the helicopter comes near, start scanning the marked individuals. I recommend that, before you start scanning each one of the persons, you should also turn on the on-board microphone, to listen to their conversations (this is required for the completion of this mission in 100%).

Also this time, you will fail to find the suspect, i.e. Chad Mulligan. Again, direct the chopper into a new target group. You do not need here to scan all of them, and only the person shown in the above screenshot, because that is Mulligan. Start the process of following him. You need to wait until the music producer reaches the garage, where he is keeping his valuable car.

Track the speeding car with the camera

Mulligan will soon start escaping from Franklin and Trevor's task will be to track the car using the on-board camera. Because you are dealing with a fast moving target here, you should consider zooming out, and do not worry if you lost your visuals of the car, because this is only temporary. This part of the mission ends when Mulligan drives into a multi-storey parking lot.

You do not need to worry about having lost the person you are tracking. Wait for the helicopter to lower its altitude and the thermal vision camera becomes available. Target the person shown in the screenshot straight away, in the car parked in the parking lot.

Carefully, drive out of the parking lot

Wait until you cut to Franklin. It would be a good idea to kill Mulligan, who has been, until recently escaping on his car. Otherwise, soon after the car theft, the game will initiate a two-star pursuit. For obvious reasons, not only will this extend this mission, but also increase the risk of damaging the car. Get into the rare car (Truffade Z-Type), drive out of the underground parking lot (try not to collide with anything) and drive towards the airport in the southern part of Los Santos.

After several moments, a two-star pursuit will start and, since the car that you are driving is neither fast nor maneuverable, you'd better wait through the entire pursuit in a side alley, or a tunnel. After you reach the airport, stop at the control gate and drive into the hangar on the left. The only thing left for you to do is leave the airport, which will conclude this mission.

Rewards for the completion of the mission: none

Requirements for the completion of the mission in 100%:

1. Not a Scratch - you cannot damage heavily the car stolen from Mulligan. Avoid the police pursuit and take your time while driving towards the airport because you do not need to race against time in this mission.
2. Eavesdropper - Still before you find Mulligan, you need to use the on- board microphone to listen to three different conversations of the scanned individuals.
3. I See You - Chad Mulligan needs to be the first person to be scanned with the thermal vision camera.
