Weapons in Metro Exodus are often heavily exploited. Thus, many of them are covered with dirt, which negatively affects weapon statistics and causes e.g. reduced firing power or problems with overload. Artyom must constantly clean the weapon and this section of the guide is devoted to this.

To clean the weapon, we have to go to the workbench and start cleaning the weapon there. The process itself takes a short time and it is enough to press one button to clean the mechanisms of the weapon. This should be done regularly, as exceptional, neglected weapons can be completely destroyed and will simply disappear from your inventory.

Cleaning weapons costs a certain amount of raw materials, although we are talking about very small quantities. Try to clean your weapons regularly and as soon as you are in hiding places and you can take advantage of the workshops.
