Memory Horizon is a side quest about the events of Victor's teenage years from the game The Thaumaturge. Our walkthrough explains how to start the side quest, how to follow the visions and how to wait for the events to unfold.

In Memory Horizon quest of The Thaumaturge, Wiktor embarks on a personal mission to recollect and relive the events from his childhood. Our guide shows how to receive the quest from Upyr, how to follow the visions and avoid dense fog, and finally what the "wait for events to unfold" message means that may render you unable to continue with the task.

Unlocking the quest

1. You can start this mission as soon as the What We Leave Behind story quest from Act 1 is active in your journal.
2. One of your Salutors, Upyr, will appear in Wiktor's father's office on the first floor of Szulski Family Tenement House. Talk to him.

Visiting Powisle's Loan Shark's former residence

1. Travel to Powisle district. Upyr can be found in the southwestern part of the map - we have marked this area in the screenshot - you're led to this location via red trails visible when Perception is active.

Finding out what Upyr wants

1. Talk to the Salutor. The first of numerous visions will play.
2. There is always only one path through the dense fog to the next vision. If you wander away from the only correct path, the edges of the screen will start to darken - this is where you should stop moving and try a different direction.
3. If you fail by deviating from the path, you'll be taken back to Upyr and can start trying to find the way again.
4. Experience more visions until a longer scene from Wiktor's childhood will play. With this, you're taken back to the starting location with the first phase of the quest completed.

1. Now you need to travel to Northern Srodmiescie district. Follow the red trails to find Upyr again. He is found before the stairs leading to the Szulski Family Tenement House, not far from the carriage (screenshot above).
2. You must once again find visions and avoid the dense fog at the same time. If you succeed, the second phase of the quest will be completed.

1. For the next part of the quest, travel to Southern Srodmiescie. This time, Upyr is found in the south-eastern part of the district, not far from the tenement house ruins where Wiktor's father died (screenshot above).
2. Follow the correct path and collect visions along the way. With all visions collected, the third part of the quest is now over.

Waiting for the events to unfold

1. You cannot proceed with the fourth phase of the quest right away - you'll be informed of that by having "wait for events to unfold" objective appear in your journal.
2. The quest can be continued after unlocking Mirow district which happens along with your progress in the main storyline - the district is unlocked in Act 2. In the new district, proceed the same as in previous parts of the quest - find Upyr (eastern part of the map).
3. Follow the only correct path experiencing visions and avoiding stepping into dense fog. This will complete the fourth part of the quest.

1. You may once again have to wait for the events to unfold.
2. This information means that you need to proceed with the main storyline i.e. unlock Rozycki Bazaar district which happens in further stages of Act 2. Upyr will appear in the northern part of the district, east from the carriage (screenshot above).
3. Experience new visions while avoiding the fog. After experiencing all the visions, the part of the quest taking place in Rozycki Bazaar will end.

1. Return to the Powisle district, where you started this side mission. Upyr will be waiting for you in the northern part of the district, near the carriage (screenshot above).

1. Follow the visions while avoiding dense fog. A final recollection from Wiktor's childhood will play and with that, the quest is concluded. There aren't any extra rewards for this mission besides XP.
