The choice takes place in the Blame and Sail mission. Eivor returns to Ravensthorpe with another report for Randvi, but first has to try to settle the dispute between Gudrun and Holger. Your first decision won't matter much, because Siegfried will still be in the room and he will want to give a verdict himself.

Gudrun and Holger – support Siegfried's judgement?

Siegfried will judge that Holger has to pay Gudrun the equivalent of 30 sails in silver or be banished. Gudrun tries to appease the matter and says that it will be enough for Holger to pay for a single destroyed sail; Siegfried, however, rejects this proposal.

1. This judgment is unfair: Tell Siegfried that the judgment is unfair and the punishment is not adequate for the committed crime. This will vex Sigurd, who insists he's the one making decisions;
2. I support Siegfried's judgment: say that Siegfried is a yarl, and you support his every decision. Holger apologizes for opposing the yarl and leaves. Siegfried will be pleased with such a turn of events.
