How to get Raw Materials, River Raids Mode Guide

On this page of our guide to Assassin's Creed Valhalla River Raids you will learn how to acquire Raw materials during raids. The new locations are divided into two types, and each contains some Raw materials for you to find.
Civilian settlements
Civilian areas are very easy to attack. They pose virtually no threat. They are protected by a small number of enemies. They are inhabited mostly by civilians.
Remember that attacking civilians leads to desynchronization.
You can find food stored in large crates in civilian-populated areas. They are mainly used to replenish rations which allows you to renew both your own health and your companions'. You must keep an eye on the number of rations - if you lose one of your companions, they will return to the camp and thus will not be available until the end of the raid.
During raids, you can also find Supplies and Raw materials, necessary for expanding the settlement.

Military camps
Military locations are much more challenging, but at the same time much more interesting. You will find a lot of enemies there, who will allow you to gain more and more experience points.
In the military locations you will find Foreign Supplies - the resources you need to upgrade the Jomsviking Hall and the longboat, and to trade with Vagn.
During raids on military areas you can also find Supplies and Raw materials, which are necessary to expand the settlement.
Weapons and armor are the most important, though. They can only be found in military areas.

Limited space on the longboat
One thing you need to remember when raiding is that there isn't much room on the longboat. Every now and then, you will have to return to camp to spend the valuable Raw materials or increase the capacity of your boat. It is possible but expensive.
You can return to camp without any issues, you will not interrupt the mission or reset it in any way.
