Starships
Starships are a new feature for the LEGO games. With them, you can freely explore outer space. You can also land on many landing spots on selected planets.
You unlock new starships by:
- progressing the main storyline,
- completing side missions,
- winning gold medals in trials.
The game features 69 Starships to choose from, which you can use to travel around the galaxy. Remember, some ships still need to be purchased after unlocking them.
Animals
On some maps, you can find animals that can be used as means of transportation. Thanks to them, you can quickly traverse maps/levels.
To mount an animal, you have to press the appropriate button.
Combat vehicles
The game also has special combat vehicles. You will find/build them during missions. They are used also for destroying objects, not just enemies. You can move them around a specific area and use their deadly weapons.
Some combat vehicles can earn you a ton of studs. Just get behind the wheel and destroy all the bricks nearby. The federal district in Coruscant has a ton of destructible objects in it, which can grant you a lot of money.
