Artyom is captured - he survives miraculously. This chapter in our guide to Metro Exodus focuses on Artyom's visit in the Pioneers' village - the main hero tries to find Alyosha's tracks.

Head towards the X marked on the map. On your way, you will come across a few interesting points including a cave with a diary, and a small pier where you can stun/kill a Pioneer. Reach the caves and climb up the ladder. Keep moving forward - Artyom gets captured.

Move towards the X on the map. You will come across a pirate - kill him (bad deed) or let him live. You also retrieve your backpack - you can now use crafting again. Soon, you will reach a large Pioneers' village. Listen to the conversation. Choose which approach you want to use - offensive or stealth.

The Pioneers' village - offensive approach

There are a lot of enemies here. However, these hostiles are equipped only with crossbows which means that the fights will be easier for you. Artyom will soon get a shotgun. Use this weapon to eliminate all enemies in the village.

Your objective is to go up, reach the building presented in the picture above, and find the Pioneer inside of that construction. Kill him and then use the nearby workbench - remember to resupply.

Cross the bridges and keep moving upwards. Eliminate more enemies and then climb the ladders up. Use the rope to slide down. Head to the cave and then go through it.
