The roof and stairs are basic foundations of every house you'll work on in House Flipper 2. It's hard to imagine a home without them, but some players wonder whether you can remove these elements or change them according to your wishes. On this page of our guide, you'll find an answer to the question whether the roof and the stairs can be removed.
Can the stairs and roof be removed?
Unfortunately, both in the case of the roof and the stairs, you cannot delete them. The game doesn't include an option to remove or sell these elements. With flipper tools equipped, once you point the cursor to the stairs or the roof, an X on a red background will appear. This simply means that this option is unavailable.
Can you change the design/style of roofs and stairs?
While it is impossible to sell or remove roofs/stairs, you can still change their appearance/design. This is done with Flipper tools.
Equip the tools, then press R and choose "change design" option. After pointing the cursor to the stairs, you'll have a variety of design choices e.g. whether there will be railings, what material they will be made of, and finally the color of them.
Same applies to roofs, but there is a potential problem here, as you first need to be at an adequate height to access the roof menu. You can try to sell a window, and jump through the opening to e.g. reach the bottom parts of the roof. This method is applicable with multi-storey buildings.
Aside from a standard color switch, you can visit a shop in the renovation phase and there adjust various parameters, such as the height of the roof or the type of roofing.
