In the latest production of 4A Games - Metro Exodus - there is a system of extensive crafting and many new options for modifying the deadly toys. Each weapon type can be modified by mounting and replacing elements at five points, e.g. you can change the barrel. Modifications affect aspects of weaponry such as damage, aiming, stability, magazine capacity, and firing speed.

How to modify weapons in Metro Exodus
The weapons can be modified at any time during exploration. The modification takes place in the hero's backpack. You only need weapons and new elements for it.
In Metro Exodus, you will also come across workbenches. You can use them to create ammunition, grenades or improve your armor.
Can my weapon break down?
During the game, the condition of the weapon will continue to deteriorate slowly due to the accumulation of dirt and dust. Worn-down weapons will stutter and inflict much less damage.
You must keep your weapons in good technical condition, clean them to avoid degradation.
