During your time with Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, you may look for ways to earn money fast. On this page of our guide, we show the best and fastest ways of getting money, e.g. through combat or selling items. Additionally, you'll find recommendations on how to spend your money.

{ramkazielona}Additional note - The money you have is shared between locations in Hawaii and Japan. When you change the country, there is an automatic currency conversion (from yen to dollars and vice versa - 1 dollar is 100 yen).

Money from combat

1 - Infinite Wealth: How to earn and what to spend money on? - FAQ - Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth Guide
  1. The main source of money in Infinite Wealth is combat. The stronger opponents you defeat, the more money you can receive. In the later stages of the game, it should be an average of several hundred dollars for one fight.
  2. You can deliberately attack weaker opponents (marked with blue icons). This is made more viable by the Smackdown mechanic, which allows you to resolve an easy encounter in no more than 10 seconds. Therefore, it is a good idea to find a location with numerous groups of easy opponents and fight them.

Selling items

2 - Infinite Wealth: How to earn and what to spend money on? - FAQ - Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth Guide
  1. A very good way of getting additional money is selling items you don't need at Pawn Shops - every map has at least one of them.
  2. You should especially sell consumables which you have an excessive supply of in the inventory. This is because of a carry limit that when met will make it impossible to pick up items of this type - they will simply go to waste.
  3. You can also sell unneeded equipment - weapons and gear. We recommend selling equipment items that you have in large quantities and those that won't benefit any of the party members anymore. Additionally, you can sell equipment of lesser rarity (less stars), but remember that it may have a purpose in crafting e.g. a weaker weapon serving as a base to make a better one.

Accumulating larger amounts of cash

3 - Infinite Wealth: How to earn and what to spend money on? - FAQ - Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth Guide
  1. During the game, you can find items that when equipped multiply the item or cash gain. An example of such item is Lucky Money Charm (screenshot above).
  2. Warning - for the mentioned item to work, it has to be in an active slot of one of the party members. Only then you can receive the bonus.

Money from mini-games

4 - Infinite Wealth: How to earn and what to spend money on? - FAQ - Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth Guide
  1. An alternative way of amassing money are minigames that work based on money. This category includes Poker (playable in HOLD'EM venue in Yokohama) or illegal casinos in Honolulu and Isezaki Ijincho. Remember to save your game before starting the minigame in case you lose rather than gain.
  2. An additional mini-game that allows earning money is Part-Time Hero, unlocked during the second visit to Yokohama. You're rewarded with cash (on average several thousands of yens) for each saved person.

What to spend money on?

5 - Infinite Wealth: How to earn and what to spend money on? - FAQ - Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth Guide
  1. You should primarily spend extra money on weapons and equipment of better quality i.e. those with more stars and higher statistics. However, don't overdo it with shopping, as better equipment can also be found in loot or received as a reward for completing dungeons. Try to get equipment for free and gather money for items that are clearly better than what you currently own.
  2. You can also buy gifts for your companions. They are rather cheap, on average requiring 5-10$ / 500-1000 yen for each. Giving gifts allows for much faster development of Bonds.
  3. Another money sink in the game are Poundmates - elite allies that join the party in combat for a few turns. They can, for example, help in attacking enemies or heal your allies. Nevertheless, Poundmates are quite expensive - limit their use to harder and boss fights.
