Every Pal has different statistics - not just the number of HP or attack points, but also passive skills. One of them is swift. Pal who has it can traverse the game world very quickly. This is especially useful if you have a creature that can be mounted, such as Melpaca, Fanglope or Vanwyrm, as the bonus from this passive skill is counted to the mount's movement speed.
