Patch 2.12 for Cyberpunk 2077 Fixes What 2.11 Update Broke

CD Projekt RED has released another patch for Cyberpunk 2077 and the Phantom Liberty expansion. Update 2.12 focuses on fixing bugs that the previous patch introduced to the game and the DLC.

Although the primary aim of updates is to enhance the quality of a specific game, devs don't always succeed in accomplishing their goals. Recently, players of Cyberpunk 2077 have had a perfect demonstration of this, encountering several new issues after updating the game to version 2.11.

Fortunately, CD Projekt RED developers identified the bugs and made a new patch, which has just hit all platforms. Update 2.12 brings needed changes to both the base game and the Phantom Liberty expansion.

According to the information published on the official Cyberpunk 2077 site, the devs focused mainly on a glitch that caused problems with key assignment in the PC version of the game. Furthermore, the update deals with errors that affect individuals using Razer brand products.

Xbox users should no longer encounter problems with the game freezing or shutting down completely after loading certain saves. Moreover, the patch addresses several commonly occurring errors that occur during the completion of specific missions.

Check out the list of changes below for details:

PC

  1. It will now be possible to properly rebind the Radioport and dropping bodies to a different key on AZERTY keyboards. Switching quest objectives will now be assigned to the T key on all keyboards.
  2. Fixed an issue where trying to bind the T key to actions in Exploration & Combat resulted in a "Binding Failed" error.
  3. Together with Intel we fixed the stuttering issue that occurred while the "Prioritize P-Cores" option was enabled.
  4. Together with Razer we fixed a crash that occurred when using Razer Chroma enabled devices.
  5. Fixed an issue where NPC hair could appear extremely bright inside vehicles when Ray Tracing is enabled.
  6. Fixed a crash that occurred on Steam Deck when playing with Ray Tracing enabled.

Xbox

  1. Addressed an issue where the game could enter an infinite loading state, hang up or crash on Xbox when using some saves.

All platforms

  1. Fixed an issue causing the inability to access the menu, inventory, stash, holocalls and fast travel.
  2. Updated the description of the Sonic Shock quickhack so that it properly reflects the changes made to its behavior in 2.1.
  3. Improved visibility of the controller cursor in menus and when using computers or keypads. This change will primarily help Steam Deck users, but will also benefit consoles and PC when using a controller.
  4. New Dawn Fades - Fixed an issue where it wasn't possible to open the phone to read the notification from the Automated Delivery System.
  5. I Can See Clearly Now - Lowered the Body attribute check required to move the dumpster.
  6. I Walk the Line - Sasquatch's jump attack will now properly register as a hit and deal damage.
  7. Riders on the Storm - Enemy cars in the chase sequence will now shoot at Panam's van.
  8. Nocturne Op55N1 - Fixed an issue where, after choosing to call Reed, the conversation sometimes wouldn't trigger, blocking progression.
  9. Sonic Shock will now be properly categorized as a Covert quickhack.
  10. Fixed instances where groups of immortal enemies could appear across Night City.
  11. Fixed an issue where some elements on the perk screen wouldn't change after switching to Colorblind Mode.
  12. BioDyne Berserk will now properly have increased Crit Chance from its Reflexes Attunement.
