In Metro Exodus, you can find special places where you can hide from mutants or humans chasing you. These places are workbenches and hideouts. Use the bed in those places to heal Artyom and change the time of day.

Workbenches

At workbenches, you can:

1. Upgrade weapons,
2. Craft medkits,
3. Craft ammo,
4. Upgrade equipment,
5. Craft a new weapon.

There are four workbenches in Taiga. You will find them during the main missions.

Hideouts

Artyom can use hideouts to escape from enemies chasing him. Also, these places have a bed - sleep in it to heal the main character and to change the time of day.
