Goro Takemura - who he is, first meeting

Goro Takemura is one of the elite soldiers of the Arasaka Corporation and the personal bodyguard of Emperor Saburo Arasaka. You will meet him for the first time in the main story mission The Heist, when he and Saburo fly to Konpeki Plaza to accompany his employer during the meeting with his son - Yorinobu. At this point, Takemura's life gets very complicated - Saburo is murdered, and Yorinobu accuses Goro of failing to take care of his duties. At this stage of the story, you can't talk to Goro Takemura or make any relationship with him yet.

Takemura and V - cooperation

The second meeting with Goro Takemura takes place at the Nigh City junkyard. Takemura convinces Dex DeShawn to prove that Saburo's murderer has been eliminated, thus forces him to reveal the location of the V. When the fixer does his job, he is immediately killed by Goro.

Takemura takes V from the junkyard, and together they manage to escape from the assassins sent by the Arasaka Corporation. That's the moment when Takemura and V start their cooperation, which may end in a great friendship.

Goro Takemura, banished from the corporation, deprived of cyberware and high-tech weapons, remains true to his beliefs and wants to make Yorinobu Arasaka accountable for his actions.

An optional trip to Arasaka Industrial Park (the main story mission in Gimme Danger) allows Takemura and V to talk frankly about Goro's past, which further develops their friendship. Takemura and V are planning how to meet with Hanako, the daughter of the deceased Emperor Saburo, at the parade in Japantown.

In the mission, Search and Destroy, V and Takemura try to drag Hanako to their side, but the conversation is interrupted by the invasion of the elite Arasaki unit. The building is collapsing and V must get out of there. At this point, an important decision can be made to save Goro Takemura, who was imprisoned in room 303 and fights there with the soldiers of the corporation.

If you decide to save Takemura's life, you will be able to meet him several more times and even start fighting together against the Arasaka corporation. What's more, Goro Takemura can be a part of one of the endings of Cyberpunk 2077.
